AMARONE DELLA VALPOLICELLA DOCG
Production area: Valpolicella Classica (on the hills north of Verona)
Soil: predominantly red and brown soils on debris, calcareous marls and basalts
Production in the vineyard: approx. 100 quintals per hectare
. Grapes: Corvina – Corvinone – Rondinella
Harvesting: by hand, carefully selecting the best bunches from hillside vineyards. The grapes are placed on plateaus and left to dry to favor the concentration of sugars, extract, aromas and glycerin
Production methods: drying of the grapes for 2-3 months and subsequent traditional fermentation on the skins with maceration of 15-20 days
Refinement: in 50 Hl oak barrel for 2-3 years, depending on the vintage
Analytical data: alcohol 15.50% vol.
Sensory Notes:
Colour: intense ruby red
Bouquet: intense, fruity, with hints of cooked fruit and spices
Taste: soft and full
Consumption: wine to be drunk from the third year after the date of bottling, served at a temperature of 17-19°C, taking care to uncork the bottle half an hour before tasting
